🐾 Our Beginning
Vale of Dogs Foundation was born out of love, empathy, and an unshakable belief that every dog deserves dignity, safety, and care. Founded in Indore in 2022 by two best friends, Tejaswini Gulati and Devansh Hablani, the journey started with just a handful of community dogs and a shared vision of compassion.
What began as feeding a few hungry strays has now grown into a sustained movement — where over 30 community dogs are cared for daily, more than 70 critical rescues have been made, and countless lives have been touched with food, treatment, and shelter.
Our Mission
We are not just rescuing dogs — we are building a more humane society.
Our work revolves around four key pillars:
- Feed the Hungry: Daily nutritious meals for community dogs across Indore.
- Rescue the Sick & Injured: Medical care for road accident victims, infections, tick fever, tumours, and life-threatening conditions.
- Shelter the Abandoned: Providing temporary havens until they find a forever home.
- Create Long-Term Impact: Through sterilisation, vaccination, and awareness, we reduce suffering and ensure healthier communities.
Our Inspiration
The foundation is as much about healing as it is about giving. For Tejaswini, the work is dedicated to the memory of her best friend Bids, who deeply believed in doing more for community animals. Each rescue, each wagging tail, is a tribute to that bond.

Behind every number is a story — like Hazel, who survived a life-threatening tumour; Shandaar, who fought years of infection and now thrives; Hyde, whose recovery from tick fever inspired 10 more rescues; and Sasha, who gave life to three pups despite being frail herself.
Our Vision
We dream of building a dedicated permanent shelter — a safe haven where abandoned and injured dogs can heal, recover, and live with dignity. But our vision extends beyond rescue. We advocate for systemic change, pushing for better animal welfare laws, sustainable coexistence, and kinder communities.
